So many aspects of the shark are associated with humankind’s most primal fears. Inspired by such classic pulp movies as Jaws and Deep Blue Sea – as well as such ludicrous delights as Sharknado and Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus – the stories contained within are rip-roaring page-turners and slow-build chillers that celebrate all things savage, pulp and selachian.

Covering the whole range of speculative fiction genres, from horror and Steampunk, through to SF and WTF, these are stories with bite!

2015 - The Year of the Shark

As we're almost a month into the new year, I thought it was timely to pass on some Sharkpunk news and to ask a couple of favours of you, the future fans and evangelists of the phenomenon that is SHARKPUNK.

First off, all the stories are in and I am delighted to be able to tell you that we have secured the services of a totally awesome cover artist, the identity of whom we will be announcing soon, alongside the first reveal of his frankly fantastic Sharkpunk cover art.

Great White chokes to death on a Seal

I think this is what's called a taste of your own medicine.

The following video shows a Great White in trouble after literally biting off more than it could chew.



The 13-foot fish was discovered washed up dead on the shore the following day, after being filmed struggling in the shallow waters of Coronation Beach near Geraldton, Western Australia.

The Department of Fisheries in Western Australia concluded that the sea lion either damaged the shark's internal organs, or the shark became stranded whilst trying to "get rid of the obstruction."
